BLVD, a Chicago restaurant, draws inspiration from the glitzy allure of 1950s Hollywood, specifically the iconic Sunset Blvd. Known for its luxurious dining and entertainment venues, BLVD wanted to transport guests to that golden era while offering a modern twist. With an incredible concept and interior design in place, the team turned to us to create a brand identity that captured the opulence and timeless elegance of the Hollywood heyday.

We developed a glowing, sophisticated brand that mirrors the restaurant’s design’s mystery and allure. Inspired by BLVD’s hidden entry, where guests move from a narrow space into a grand room, we crafted a mark that reflects this sense of reveal and excitement. The rounded letterforms and champagne palette bring a modern elegance to the nostalgic glamour, perfectly encapsulating the restaurant’s spirit while adding a contemporary edge.

Revealing the brand identity

We built a glowing identity that feels both opulent and classic. One of BLVD’s design concepts is to reveal the restaurant after you enter through a small narrow opening into the great room. We captured this idea of mystery and excitement with the mark through repetition of the letterforms. The rounded forms in a champagne palette remind us of the golden era brought to the modern-day.
